Natural learning
In my opinion, the most useful concept for understanding how we naturally learn is the concept of mind patterns by Dawna Markova, Ph.D., an American teacher, psychotherapist, researcher and organizational advisor. She defined the 6 innate ways of learning based on neurometric laboratory testing and her lifelong research and work experience.
I learned about the concept at a training for teachers in 2007 and ever since I have had the opportunity to watch and verify its validity not only in myself, but also in my students and later in my children and my clients. To know one's mind pattern is one of the keys to understanding oneself. The way our brain processes inputs from the outside world influences our natural way of learning as well as our natural way of thinking and communicating.
In my practice I provide consultations for adults and parents with children who need to understand their own mind better so that they can study in a way that is most natural to them. I also organize seminars for smaller groups of people (10 max.), parents or teachers.
